We are developing some partnerships at national level and at international level.
- At national level
The partnership at national level essentially consists of urging our national Experts on our different projects, the signing of Partnership Agreements with national Companies, and mobilising State’s companies
as well as issuing permanent information to AN-CDM of Côte d’Ivoire.
- At international level
We are establishing some partnerships in view of technical support and training. These partnerships include the creation of a joint venture for common projects. We are also looking for financial supports for developing feasibility studies, and investments for our carbon projects.

I like the way your site is laid out and how you have the information on it.
Nedbank Capital seeks partnerships with both the private and public sector to foster a low carbon emission environment and we believe we will be able to add value to your envisaged emission reduction projects.
Our special interest is in the following sectors:
- Chemical Industries
- Energy Industry
- Cement Companies
- Landfills
- Waste treatment plants
- Coal Mine sector
- Sugar/Ethanol Mills
- Metal Industry
- Agricultural Business
We have concrete carbon origination and development experience in almost all of these major sectors across the globe and Africa in particular and it will be an honour to do the same in Mauritius. Our ideal projects will be of the following nature:
Energy industries and other industries
- Installation of a natural gas cogeneration system. The cogeneration system should be from a third party system
- Renewable energy project activities
- SF6 Emission Reduction in electrical grids
- Fuel switch from fossil fuel to biomass or sources less polluters
- Energy efficiency improvement projects: e.g. boiler rehabilitation or replacement
- Grid connection of isolated electricity systems
- Production of waste cooking oil-based for use as fuel
- Energy efficiency in transmission and distribution
Cement
– Waste heat recovery and utilization for power generation
- Projects that increase the share of additives (i.e. reduce the share of clinker) in the production of cement types beyond current practices in the country. Additives are defined as materials blended with clinker to produce blended cement types and include fly ash, gypsum, slag, etc.
- Substitution of fossil fuels with alternative fuels
Infrastructure
- Water pumping efficiency improvement
- Methane recovery project activities involving industrial organic (anaerobic) wastewater treatment plants
- Avoided emissions from organic waste through alternative waste treatment processes
- Avoidance of methane production in wastewater treatment through replacement of anaerobic lagoons by aerobic systems
- Landfill methane capture and flaring or/and energy production
Mining
- Coal bed methane and coal mine methane capture and use for power (electrical or motive) and heat and/or destruction by flaring
